Goodbye Ozark
Such a cute place, but such a short stay. Was able to roll out at 8am! Idalys took her breakfast, prepared by me, to go.

IL to MO so far
We hit the road at 8:30am and made a couple stops, one in Springfield IL, the next in St. Louis. We will be staying just outside Springfield MO tonight. Driving through the Ozarks now. Lots of trees so far. More later. Until then, enjoy these pictures

Chicago!
Short but hectic driving day
After rolling out of Ann Arbor, we headed to our AirBnb in Forest Park, IL. Lots of heavy rain making visibility super low at times. After dropping one car at the Airbnb, we went into the city. Here’s a photo dump!

Tomorrow’s drive
It should be a better driving day, no rain! Heading into Springfield IL, see Lincoln. Then to St Louis, see the arch and world’s largest ketchup bottle, then into Ozark MO.

Sweaty mess
It was midwest muggy, the “rain is coming” and “thunderstorms likely” muggy and I was soaked from working in it.
Cue the rain ☔️
As the last bag went in, the rain started. Timing is everything, so is luck.
We get to repeat this once we arrive to San Diego. But in a different van, plus adding a couch, a queen size mattress, headboard, small dining table and some counter chairs.
Tonight we are going to look around in Chicago before heading home. I rented a place with a 2-car garage so thankful for that!

Ann Arbor
It was a short drive, got to have a nice picnic lunch with the kiddos. Went back to get ready for packing up the kiddos and spend another 4 hours packing and repacking. Meanwhile, the electricity went out at our Airbnb around 3:30 and at 8:30 it was still out. Covered by Airbnb and now we are at the Residence Inn. Not as cute here but it’ll be brief. We start our return trip tomorrow!
